Our Mission
Rally for Rackets strives to support tennis-loving kids in the Greater Boston community and across New England. Through our tennis racket drives, we donate new and gently-used tennis rackets and bags to community-based tennis programs and their young players.
Our Story
My name is Daniyal Mian. I am 15 years old and live in Boston. I love tennis, whether playing on my school team, with my family on weekends, or watching the pro tour.
In 2023, I started Rally for Rackets. When cleaning out a bin of sports equipment, I came across my old tennis rackets. I considered donating them to a local tennis program, but then I had another idea. I began Rally for Rackets to engage the broader community in hopes of having a larger impact. Through our tennis racket drives, we aim to support a new generation of young tennis players in our community.
If you are as enthusiastic about tennis as I am and would like to make a difference to a young player, please consider contributing to one of our racket drives or donating directly. Your contribution will help support kids at all levels of play to get the equipment they need to get on the courts.

We have raised over three dozen rackets and a number of bags so far at our APEX drive in Portland, ME. Thank you to APEX and to everyone who has donated. We will be at APEX through January.

We raised close to 40 rackets at our fall drive at the Thoreau Club in Concord, MA. Thank you to Thoreau and to everyone who donated.

All equipment raised goes directly to My Place Teen Center.
July 27 – August 18, 2024
Edgcomb Tennis Club
Kennebunk, ME
In August, we completed our second annual summer racket drive at Edgcomb Tennis Club in Kennebunk, ME, raising over 30 rackets. Thank you to Edgcomb and to all who donated!
Tennis Shoe Drive in partnership with Sportsmen's Tennis and Enrichment Center
All shoes go to young tennis players in Ghana.
February 14 - March 25, 2024
The Thoreau Club
Concord, MA
We raised over 40 pairs of shoes through our first shoe drive this winter at the Thoreau Club in Concord, MA. All donations went to young players in Ghana through a program run by a Sportsmen's coach. Thank you to everyone who donated to support this important cause.
Thank you, New Balance Brighton for donating six pairs of new shoes. Your donation will go a long way.

Natick, MA
Thank you, Longfellow Natick for the donation of tennis bags this January and for hosting our racket drive this February. Through your support, we raised close to 20 rackets.

Lexington, MA
We raised over 30 rackets and a number of tennis bags through our winter drive at Lexington Tennis Club. Thank you LTC, and everyone who donated, for your generous support.
July 31 – August 19, 2023
Edgcomb Tennis Club
Kennebunk, ME
In summer 2023 we raised 20 rackets through our racket drive at Edgcomb Tennis Club, with support from the Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association (KBIA). Thank you to Edgcomb and to everyone who donated.
Last spring we raised close to 100 rackets and over 50 bags through our two racket drives at The Fenn School and the Thoreau Club. Thank you to everyone who supported us. We were glad to be able to deliver all the equipment to Sportsmen’s in time for the start of their 2023 summer camp.
